Why 'Poda Podi' is delayed?

STR's 'Poda Podi' is in the making for more than three years now.Its producers have now come out with an explanation for the delay.
The debut acting vehicle of Varalakshmi, daughter of Sarath Kumar, is yet to near completion despite many shooting schedules.
"The film was entirely shot in London and only during a particular season, to go with the look and feel of the film. Also, we had to shoot scenes featuring a baby at the time of his birth and when he's six months-old," said a press release from the producers.
The producers have also expressed happiness about the way STR has carried the film on his shoulders with his acting. They said Varalakshmi has come out with a performance that belies that fact that she is a debutante.
'Poda Podi', helmed by newcomer Vignesh, is a rom-com which is about an Indian couple who is in London. Besides this film, Simbu has in his hands 'Vettai Mannan', 'Kettavan' and 'Vada Chennai'. He is also busy with his maiden music album.
