Till now we all thought that Shankar's 'Nanban', remake of Bollywood blockbuster '3 Idiots', will grace theatres for this Pongal which means there will two big releases on the same day ('Nanban' and 'Vettai'), But the latest buzz is that the release of 'Nanban' has been pre-poned and as per the new schedule the film will hit screens on January 12, 2012.'Nanban' has Vijay, Srikanth and Jiiva in the lead roles; Sathyan will play the role of Chatur (Omi Vaidya), Ileana D'Cruz will appear in the role played by Kareena Kapoor, and Sathyaraj will appear as the insensitive professor Virus, which was played by Boman Irani. Harris Jayaraj's rocking tracks are already topping the charts.
